Routine Maintenance & Common Questions
Clear, practical answers about caring for your hair system after installation.
How often does a hair patch require servicing?
For bonded or taped hair patches, routine servicing is recommended every 20 to 30 days. During servicing, our technician gently removes the system using citrus solvent (C-22), deep-cleanses your scalp, washes and conditions the human hair system, replaces adhesives/tapes, and blends your side hair with a fresh trim.
Does wearing a hair patch damage my natural hair?
No. When applied and removed properly by trained technicians using approved solvents, non-surgical hair systems do not damage biological hair or follicles. The adhesive or clips are placed only along the perimeter, leaving your scalp clean and comfortable.
How long does a 100% human hair patch typically last?
A high-quality Remy human hair patch typically lasts between 8 to 14 months depending on the base type (monofilament bases last longer, while ultra-thin lace bases offer higher breathability) and how well you follow at-home washing and conditioning instructions.
Can I wash and shampoo my hair patch at home?
Yes. You can wash your hair system 1 to 2 times a week using sulfate-free shampoo and lukewarm water. Always apply conditioner along the hair strands while avoiding direct contact with the base bonding perimeter.
